Debut décembre un spécialiste indépendant des véhicules haut de gamme me confiait qu'il avait des demandes pour la chose, évidemment à prix d'amis, mais ce dernier me confiait que l'argument premier était le coffre, puis le confort, les deux places symboliques puis le toit escamotable. Il confirmait aussi, ce que tout le monde sait sur ce forum, la clientèle n'est pas celle traditionnelle de Ferrari. Majoritairement la demande provient de jeunes couples avec enfants en bas âge mais surtout d'une clientèle seniors, pré-retraités.

Je n'ai jamais trouvé cette auto séduisante, en ce qui me concerne c'est vraiment le vilain petit canard de Maranello malgré son succès commercial indéniable...

Je la trouve très moche sur magazine et autres photos, mais en réalité, mon regard est accroché à chaque fois que j'en vois une. Sûrement pas la plus belle, mais tout de même une belle présence en vrai.

Une catastrophe cette auto, c'est vraiment dommage qu'à Maranello ils n'ont pas souhaité revoir complètement leur copie dans le cadre de son lifting et d'en faire un modèle vraiment sportif, toujours motorisé par un V8 positionné à l'avant et en configuration Targa à l'image de ce que Porsche va présenter prochainement...

Voila, elle arrive, pour info le châssis de la California 30 est référencée F149, donc on aura droit à une California M (Modificata)

Hi all, first time post here. I thought I might just post some of my experiences here as a warning to others. I picked up a used 2010 California last June... my first Ferrari as well! The car is fantastic, but about 3 days after purchase the battery died. Records later indicated that this is the third battery installed (not surprisingly, the car only had 8K on the clock, and the battery tender was still wrapped in plastic. The car was out of warranty, and I did not add the extended warranty at time of purchase... biggest mistake of my life.

A few weeks later, the MyGIG infotainment unit failed. The prancing horse shows up like on startup, but then goes blank. The unit loops like that indefinitely. I Tried purchasing a unit from OEMAutoparts in florida, who sold me a Chrysler unit that they swore up and down was a Ferrari unit. The Unit worked great but had a Chrysler logo that appeared on startup. I finally got them to admit that it WAS a Chrysler unit, and they said they would be able to repair the original Ferrari unit.

Meanwhile... my local dealer has been amazingly helpful, working with me to get the radio in and out of the car, tells me that the list price for a replacement unit from Ferrari is... hold on to your hats... $20,000. That is NOT a misprint. Ferrari has also taken the liberty of keying the radio serial number to the VIN, so you have no option but to buy another crappy Chrysler radio for $20K.

OEMAutoparts did manage to eventually fix the original radio. They charged me $1900 for this. The repair lasted exactly 6 weeks, when the unit failed in exactly the same way.

I next sent the radio off to United Radio in New York. United Radio is VERY professional, and once again repaired my original unit. Now though, installing the unit in the car Nothing functions. It's possible we have a separate fault not he can bus. Radio functions perfectly on United Radio's test bench, but doesn't seem to communicate with the CAN bus on the car. Still in the middle of diagnosing this one.

I've heard good things about La Jolla Audio in San Diego, and Systems Unlimited in Washington, but I am in San Francisco. Does anyone know of good aftermarket stereo shops in the Bay Area that have experience with Ferrari Californias? I'm concerned about what sort of error codes putting an aftermarket system in the car is going to sent to the ECU. Thanks all!

Il y a tellement d'électronique dans ces nouvelles générations d'autos que cela ne m'étonne pas que soudainement tout puisse flancher, par contre les tarifs et l'attitude du réseau Ferrari aux USA est INADMISSIBLE!
Je n'ai pas ce genre de problème avec ma Modena boîte mécanique sans InfotertainementGPSmachinchose inutile...

Enfin ! Le seul essai de la chose dans un cas réel d'usage et soyons honnête la California s'en sort très bien: le transport de pépées en boites de nuit.

Intéressant post sur FerrariChat concernant le remplacement d'un capteur de la boite de vitesses, facture de 6500$. Le reste est aussi très instructif .... pour les néophytes.
