The latter part of 2011 saw sales drop in every market, (Germany being the exception). The MMC reported to dealers that they received (at least) 100 cancellations. However, the Works has informed the Wire that total production in 2011 reached 900 units for all models, a number not seen since the company began making 4-wheelers. Sales have picked up so far in 2012 and recent news indicates last year's inventory backlog is gone. Model sales figures for last year are not available yet and will not reflect production but a total sales sum will available in due course. This year's sales will be boosted by the new M3Ws, Aero Plus 8s and Roadster 3.7s.

MORGAN PREDICTS HUGEROWTH FOR 2012 Birmingham, UK, April 16, 2012 (1st update)
Written under the headline "Morgan plans slow and steady route to growth", Mr. Morgan predicted sales and production will more than double 2011 figures this year with 600-700 of the new Trikes (up from an est. 40-50 last year), 200 Aero Super Sports and Aero Coupe (up from an est. 25) and 500 Classics of which we were told by the Works that 150 will be the new Aero based Plus 8 leaving 350 other cars that will presumably be trad models. No reason was given for the drop in trad sales nor the sudden increase in Aero-type sales. We sent an inquiry to the MMC which they just replied to after their April break correcting Mr. Morgan's figures quoted above. Their stated goal is 100 Aero-types, 600 classics and 700 M3Ws this year. This will require M3W production to double immediately. The year's peak week has been 11 units with appr 120 made in 2012 thus far . Mr. Morgan went on in the interview to speak with some pride on the newer Morgan buyer.with the most interest now coming from those under 34.

Quelques news concernant la +8.

A fin mai 132 voitures sont commandées. BMW ayant cessé de produire en 2010 le V8 équipant la +8, la marque pourrait restreindre sa fourniture à 250 unité contre 450 initialement prévues. Ce moteur devrait être remplacé par le 6 cylindres BMW équipant la future EVA GT.

Au final peu de +8 seraient produites. A ce jour ce modèle remporte un franc succès, le plus important depuis que la gamme Aéro existe, pas vraiment surpris. Cette voiture est la descendante de l'AC Cobra.

Petit tour d'une +8 bicolore ... abstraction faite du volant, rien à jeter.
